Lindsey Mergener, BA, MA, CELTA
Lebenslauf
I grew up in a suburb of Detroit, where I spent the first 18 years of my life before moving away to Connecticut for college. At Yale, I earned a B.A. in Ethics, Politics and Economics with a focus on issues surrounding special education and disabilities. During this time I also served as a news editor for the Yale Daily News and was a reporting intern for one summer at a Pulizer-Prizewinning newspaper. After graduation, I kept travelling East -- this time across the Atlantic -- to work as a teaching intern at the American School in London. I discovered I loved to teach, and to travel. Over the course of my time in England, I earned a CELTA degree from the International House, London, and an MA in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia. I am now at work on a novel, which is a rewarding challenge, but writing can be lonely, and I welcome the opportunity to meet and teach students in Vienna. In my free time, I enjoy riding my bike all over this lovely city, and spending time with my husband, Simon.
