Alison Steiner, BA (Econ), MSocSc, DTEFL
Biography
I have a Master's degree in Economics and East European Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Economics with Russian Language. I also have a TEFL diploma for teaching English.
I have been teaching English for four years, particularly focusing on business communication and have been working for pro active english since mid-2005.
Originally, I came to Austria for one year (way back) in 1990 to work as a researcher and analyst covering South Eastern Europe for the Economist Intelligence Unit. But I think its fair to say I must like the place because I'm still here now and I have worked for a wide variety of organisations and companies, including the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and Bloomberg.
I was born in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire in England, close to Sherwood Forest and spent all my childhood there with my mother, father and younger brother David. I went to school in England and studied in England, France, Russia and Bulgaria.
My interests range from political, economic and financial issues to sport, art, good humour and music.
I live in the 7th district with my husband and son.
